Thanks for Helping With Backpack Day!
Thank you to the twenty-plus people who served at the Back to School event this year and to all who donated supplies. Approximately
125 backpacks were filled and given to School District #25
families on July 19th.
Faithful Friends
Our VBS program will be held on Wednesday nights for five weeks beginning July 21st. Volunteers
are needed for snacks, games and the Bible story time. If you can help, please contact: Jim Harbke
or Cheryl Sanders at 847-253-4839. Registration materials can be found on the tables at each sanctuary
entrance.
Uptown Ministry
We continue to collect food for Uptown. Summer often brings empty shelves to the pantry. Please help keep them stocked.
Communion Assistants
Please consider helping with communion distribution.
Sign-up sheets are for July through September are posted outside the Church office.
Altar Guild
We are in need of a few more women to help with the altar set-up and clean up on Sunday mornings. You are asked to serve two months in the year with
another volunteer. Please contact the church office with questions or to offer your service. Thank you!

Parish Nurse
Jewel-Osco is offering a wonderful store tour and presentation for those families
living with Diabetes. The FREE tour is conducted by a Registered
Dietician, as well as a Registered Pharmacist and will be held at the Palatine Jewel-Osco, 33 N. Plum Grove Rd. at 6:00 P.M., August 5th. To
register, please call1-800-783-0458 as space is limited. Additional tours will be held locally so please contact Margie for further dates and information.
