Sunday School

Sunday School

Imagine if your child were to grow up …

BELIEVING there’s a heavenly Father who loves them unconditionally,
PRIORITIZING the core truths that define who they become, and
ENGAGING in a mission that is bigger than themselves.

Using the Orange Curriculum, our strategy is to develop children's relationship with Christ.
We do this by instilling wonder, sparking discovery and fueling passions as they grow.

Starting September 7th, 2014, you are invited to bring your kids to Sunday School at Faith
so they can see Jesus for who He is and see themselves the way God does
so they can love others the way He loves them:

First Look - ages 3 years old through Kindergarten
252 Basics - 1st grade through 5th grade
XP3 - 6th grade through High School

Classes meet on Sundays during the Christian Education Hour from 9:45 A.M. to 10:45 A.M.

If you have any questions, contact Pastor Brad at (847) 253-4839.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Shawl Attention knitters, crocheters and learners:

Prayer Shawl ministry will kick off
on Saturday, September 13th
We meet in the North Room from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. and welcome you to explore if this might be a place for you to connect and serve at Faith.  No experience needed!

Our group creates handicrafts for distribution to hospitals, shut-ins, and others who need to know someone is thinking of them.  It's a unique way to share God's love!

You provide the hooks, needles, and yarn, and we'll extend some expertise, a welcoming community, and crafting with a purpose.

For more information, please contact Margie Mayfield at (847) 253-4919 or

"Ready for School" Day

Ready for School Ready for School (aka "Backpack Day")
was a huge success!
Thanks to you and our partners* for all your work and support.

We had close to 120 people volunteer their time.  This included members of Faith and their friends as well as students from Thomas and South Middle schools and even some volunteers from St. Paul Lutheran Church, Mount Prospect.  We were able to provide school supplies for over 300 children.  All of the children we served have qualified for free and reduced rate lunches through the federal government program; many of them are among the neediest families in Arlington Heights.  The need continues to grow.  Next year (our 9th year of doing this) we will more than likely be filling at least 350 backpacks.

Your support and help is a blessing to so many in Arlington Heights
as we share the love and care of Christ with them.

*This event was sponsored by The Salvation Army, Faith Lutheran Church, Arlington Heights School District 25, the Village of Arlington Heights, Arlington Cares N.F.P., Village Bank & Trust, Northwest Community Healthcare, School District 214 Community Education, Cook County Bus Company, Thrivent Financial, Rotary Club of Mt. Prospect/Arlington Heights, and United Way.
