Vacation Bible School

Faithful Friends VBS starts July 21st at 6:00 P.M.

Our VBS program will be held on Wednesday nights for five weeks beginning July 21st.  This is a modified version of the traditional Vacation Bible School.  Classes for pre-school through 6th grade will begin at 6:00 PM each day with a light supper and end at 8:00 PM.  Children will participate in small groups in a program that will include music, Bible study, and crafts.  Admission is free.  Call Jim Harbke or Cheryl Sanders at 847-253-4839 for more information and to register (registration materials can also be found on the tables at each sanctuary entrance). Volunteers are needed for snacks and games.  If you can help, please contact Jim or Cheryl.

"Becoming a Woman of Purpose" (by Cynthia Heald)

Early Riser Bible study on Tuesdays at 6:15 A.M. in the North Room.

All of us wonder at one time or another who we are and why we’re here.  While society emphasizes wealth, success, and the pursuit of pleasure, the truth is that we are created by God in His image and our fulfillment is found in pursuing His purposes for us. Join us as we explore those purposes. We will use the book, “Becoming a Woman of Purpose” as the basis for our study. For more information contact Mary Rebstock.

Tuesday Tales

Tuesday Tales will be offered every Tuesday starting June 15 through August 17, from 10:00 A.M to 10:45 A.M.

We will be sharing favorite Bible Stories, with young children, ages 3 through 8.  We are also inviting God’s children with special needs to join us for this story time. THANK YOU!!!! to all who volunteered and cut out Bible Story Flannel Graph pieces.  Your cutting skills were put to the test! A total of 600 pieces were cut out.  Many thanks for helping us tell stories from the greatest book…for sharing God’s love.

100th Anniversary

On Sunday, November 15th, 2009 the congregations of the English District of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod began "1000 Days of Prayer”.  The district will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2011.  As we prepare for the celebration, we pray for our brothers and sisters in the English District.
